Go Dabarkads!!

They won! They won! Hoen's Red team, "Dabarkads", won! They were up against the black team on the second set of the night and they won! Woohoo!! Of course, they couldn't have done it if not for their cheering squad. Haha. Wives who did so much more than cheer. We screamed, we squeaked, we shouted, we clapped, we danced, we profaned, we... we were "bringing down da house down!" The kids were pleading, "Moms, please don't embarass us" but there was no stopping the "I love you, Jess!" or "Joen, pahiram sa'yo ang sexy mo!" Hahaha.
It was the first time ever for a Fil-am basketball league to be formed in Omaha and I'm so glad we caught it. We did some last minute purchases over their "uniform" and I snagged some Husker pompoms (red and white, ferpeck!) which were very useful. Plus, we had a gymnast in the group, Alexis, who did cartwheels, pom-poms in hand. Oowa, oowa! Hoen did 2 consecutive perfect free throws and made several passes that made it to the net. He scored 8! Very good team player. Plus, being a Bosconian that he is, he wasn't afraid to rough it up a little. The black team ganged up on him-- triple-teamed him even- because he moved so fast from end to end. I kept on shouting, "Take it easy on the little guy! He's got guns the size of your thighs!" Hahaha. It was probably true. They might have looked intimidating but they were too few in their team that they lost wind pretty fast. The rest of the team-- Chandi, Allan, Alex, Ranni, Ariel, Arnel, Jessie, Rod, and Fly... they all scored at some point. What they lacked was practice and maybe, a few more YOUNGER players. Haha.
The wives want to come up with cheering routines for the next game. I am so in!
