Taking things slow
Sunday, February 04, 2007

Last year, after having a hearty one with of yet another one Tita Belen's dishes, I swore to Hoen that I would try slow cooking next year. Our Betty Crocker Crockpot has been sitting around on top of our pantry, waiting to get warmed up. So when we got back from Pinas, I rubbed my palms together, rolled up my sleeves and hoped my first slow cooked dish would be yummy.

It was. And boy, did Hoen love it. So did I. Very convenient too. Throw everything in and leave it on low cook for 8 hours. I went out, we came back and poof! A warm, nicely concocted dinner. This, here is already my 4th or 5th slow cooked meal. It's Barbecue Ground Beef and a lot of spices I threw in. This one lasted only two meals because it was sooo guuhd. I am not an addict of slow cooking. I'm a wise-crock!
