Desperate Housewives -- Geez Louise. Which story came out with a bang? Lemme see... Lynette is diagnosed with lymphoma and her mom with a history of alcoholism welcomes herself into her daughter's home, uninvited. Bree returns from "traveling" and comes back with a bump in her belly. At first I thought, "Weren't they supposed to NOT write her pregnancy into the show?" But alas. She was all but wearing a fat belly suit so that when her daughter comes back from Nunny camp, she will claim her baby as her own. Gabrielle had the wedding she always wanted. It was lavish, it was over the top, but overhearing her politician groom talk about her as his "asset" and "bet to win the Latino votes", she seeks solace in the poolhouse. Guess who's there. Carlos! Who had just broken up with Edie after he found out that she was still taking birth control pills, all the while pretending to want to have a baby. She and Carlos lip lock and who knows what happened next. Now for Susan, my favorite part. She tells Mike that even though people won't be OPENLY comparing her wedding to Gabrielle's, deep inside they really are. So Mike works overtime for nights in a row in order to make her dream wedding come true and in fact sleeps through Gabrielle's reception. Susan took that opportunity to talk to Gabrielle's minister and asked him what he was doing tomorrow night. Turns out, she had planned for her daughter to pretend to make a midnight call to Mike and while en route, both of them would make it to some secluded spot with the minister a-waiting .The minister gets in front of the car, hands him a suit and tells him to wear it. He and Susan have the wedding right there and then with lanterns and vines and the entire wilderness as their ambience. It was just sweet and lovely! Susan's guilt paid off as Mike gave her a lingering kiss even before the ceremony started. And now the ending. Edie is seen with her legs dangling after she takes something that looked like a curtain tassel and obviously hung herself. Very nice ending.

Brothers and Sisters -- Another good finale!! Where do I start? Let's see. Kitty (Calista) insists on not having an Engagement Party to make way for the family to say the proper goodbye to Justin who was Iraq-bound. But Mrs. Walker ( Sally Field), being the doting mother that she is, th
rows her one anyway and gets the surprise of her life. Turns out, the senator's (Rob Lowe) family is way crazier than theirs are. Haha! Tommy (Balthazar Getty) tries to get over the death of one of his twin babies but his wife has it worse. Still, he shows up at the party and tries to celebrate with Kitty. Kevin (Matthew Rhys) meets the senator's gay brother again and realizes just how much they loathe each other. But at the UNEXPECTED heat of the moment, they end up kissing in the kitchen. Saul (Ron Rifkin) meets an old friend at the party and well, they might have had a GAY past. Shocker! Justin holds out telling people that he is in fact leaving for Iraq the day of the party. Only when Rebecca told them that Calista and Sally Field go running to the airport to give him the proper goodbye. By the way, the whole mother and son dialog was very good. Very well written. Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) gives a very nice speech during the party which was very ironic since she is still estranged from her husband after sharing that kiss with Rebecca. The ending-- after being given a dare, Sally Field jumps in the pool and Calista follows and so do the rest. It was a very good ending sans Justin. Everybody was in the pool and they laughed their worries away. Can't wait for next season!

Heroes -- This one I loved as well! But why couldn't they have just done a 2-hou
r finale. That way, LInderman and Eric Roberts' character die on the same night. Anyway, it was indeed Peter who was going to blow and Sylar tries to intervene. I loved how each Hero was able to contribute somehow to the ending. Matt Parkman (the cop) tried to distract Sylar but ended up being shot by his own bullets. Nikki successfully hits Sylar with a meter maid and weakens him. Hiro was able to stab Sylar but was thrown into the building. Good thing he was able to teleport before hitting the concrete. Mika, the tracker, the father, even Claire had some contribution albeit useless and not enough to have stopped Sylar. In the end, Sylar may have been hurt but his blood trails leading to the manhole makes for a good second season opener. The tracker says that there is someone out there worse than Sylar. Hmmmm. And Nathan rescues Peter despite their mom's persuasion over what is "Inevitable." He takes Peter, flies into space and, as Peter turns nuclear, they both SUPPOSEDLY blow up in the sky. Or did they? We never know. But in the opening of Volume 2, Hiro teleports to Feudal Japan and stands in the middle of a Samurai war, just in time for the solar eclipse. A-ha!!!
