If I am not singing, I am humming.
If I am not humming, I have a song in my head.
If I don't have a song in my head, well,
I might as well be dead. -- Maudester

I love shoveling the snow!
Friday, December 07, 2007
This is my third winter but since we just bought the house this year, this was my first time to shovel. Lo and behold! I actually LOVE it! I shoveled half the time Joen did and he was in pain after. I was so warmed up we went straight to the gym after. Hehe
We have had these lights for about 2 weeks now and I only thought of taking a video when it snowed out. How stupid is that. I fought for this animated buck. It's the up and down motion, you know. *wink wink*
Well, I called First National Bank and told them that Woodmen offered me a job and that I would like to get their decision by Friday. FNB called me hours later to tell me that they have, indeed, offered me a job. They gave me a rate which was $3K more than what Woodmen offered me. So I call Woodmen and tell them about this bind I am in, practically asking for help from Karen of HR on whether the rate that they gave me was indeed the maximum they could come up with. Whaddyouknow, Woodmen matched FNB's offer!
So now I have a day to really think this through. Both are on equal footing now. The pay is the same, the project is the same, the job description is the same, the location is the same (they are across each other!), and they are both renovating their buildings to devote an entire floor to the department I applied for! AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
I sooo cannot wait to be done with Accounting. And by "done" I mean pass with flying colors. As much as I will miss the weekly get-togethers, this whole mumbo-jumbo is just giving me so much info overload that it's all I think about! Maybe this is why God made me take this course while still unemployed. Hehe.
I'm also glad things are going well with Markus and Yien. I'm a little worried for Zoe. I hope she really gets over everything so she can start her life anew. I can't wait to try Joe's lasagna. I can't wait to get back to work. I dread getting up early in the morning.
Right now, I am watching The Tin Man at Sci Fi. The coolest rendition of The Wizard of Oz thus far. Very dark and unconventional plus, it's Zoe Deschanel. I think I will let my kids watch this in their teens. Alan Cummings is always worth the watch.
Well, whaddyouknow, I got accepted at Woodmen!! Woohoo!!! I just love that it's about their Portal project. So perfect for me! Still negotiating on a rate but I am very excited to get back to work! After over a month of interviews, I have finally found myself a job at a very stable and profitable company. =))) Pats me in the back
